About

Elaine Inker studied Fine Art in Context at the University of the West of England. From her studio in Bristol she makes mixed media paintings combining photography, mono-printing, collage, paint and found papers.

Dominant strands in her work are outdoor swimming and relationships between dogs and people, sometimes including a gentle protest about the right to swim in unpolluted waters and about attitudes towards animals. Each painting is a snapshot of a moment in time, a unique rendition of how people inhabit the space they exist in.

Elaine specializes in bespoke commissioned paintings, with some created for international clients. She combines the artist’s skill with the imaginings of the client to produce works of striking originality and visual quality.
